General

  • Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to their lesson to prepare their horse and spend 15 minutes with their horse after the lesson.
  • Parents and friends are not permitted in the barn while students are preparing their horses; however please feel free to wait in the viewing lounge.
  • Spectators are welcome to watch the lessons from the viewing lounge or picnic table area.
  • Students are required to have their own grooming kits, helmets, crops...
  • Group lessons (4 or more students) are 60 minutes, Group lessons (3 or less students) are 45 minutes, while private lessons and semi-private lessons are 30 minutes of instructor time.
  • If only one or two students are present for a group lesson, the instructor at their discretion may shorten the lesson.

Riding Attire

Students must come in proper riding attire. This includes an ASTM riding helmet, riding boots, and long pants. Students who come with shorts or inadequate footwear will not be permitted to ride! This rule is for the students’ safety.

Missed Lessons

Make-up rides are available to those students who give a minimum of 24-hour cancellation notice. Students must sign up for make-up rides using our website. Click on "Make-ups" on the right side of the navigation bar. Contact us for the access password. Our make-up rides are no longer offered during regular riding classes. Make up rides will be open to all levels. Our instructor will assist students who need direction and will be able to set up jump exercises for the experienced riders to practice.

It is the responsibility of the student to book the make-up ride. Make-up rides may not be deducted from future invoice payments. Any missed lessons that are not made up within the session will be forfeited.

Lessons are to be paid for monthly. Lesson payments are due before the first of the month and will receive a 20.00 discount if received before the 1st of the month. Payments should be made by e-transfer. Lessons are arranged by the month not the lesson, therefore month payment is due whether you are able to attend all lessons or not. Single lesson prices are posted for new students starting lessons mid-month. A $25.00 fee will be charged for each NSF cheque received.
